Holiday Update

In keeping with my strictly democratic and completely incomprehensible link protocol, I am adding Troika to my links list even though there is more swearing in one of his posts than in the whole of Midnight Run, which elevates use of the word f--k into an artform.

I'm on holiday in KL in case you're wondering at the paucity of posting (alliteration).

Troika reminds me of Lambent. Oh wait, has Lambent gone? I can't keep track of all these doppelgangers. But sometimes a potty mouth can be funny.

Strange you should mention Midnight Run. Watched it the other evening for the first time in aeons with the wife and 10-yr-old. Had forgotten how much swearing there was. Reminded of the time I rented Police Academy to watch with the family we were staying with in America. I'd, erm, also forgotten how much non-American-family-values stuff went on it that.

Re Jesus' suffering, have you read The Man Born to be King, by Dorothy Sayers? Just finishing it. It's very moving.

I'm mistaken, says my daughter. It wasn't Police Academy; it was Austin Powers. I DID show P.A., but it was to a bunch of recovering drug addicts when I first came to HK. They loved it, but sadly some of my female co-workers got a bit flustered and turned it off.
