Conference
On one of those conferences where they keep you there from 8 in the morning till 10 at the night - yes the last 2 hours are dinner, but that doesn't mean it's not work, when you're eating with a whole bunch of accountants. In fact, it is harder work than the rest of the day.
Still it beats being at the office.
I have nothing to blog about though. It is a bit like being dead only with more spacious accommodation and tastier beverages.

Ha! Did my time a couple of weeks ago so totally sympathise. I wonder why people think that sort of thing improves team spirit? Well, I suppose it does in a bizarre sort of way but still... someone ought to invent a less painful method. Something like speed dating might work best I think.
At least you know that you have your "get out of jail" card ready for the weekend. Ah, the joys of slipping on dogshit in the park!
"United in hatred of the boss" is an oft overused technique for team building. While it may be effective, it just isn't nice. I vote you fill a flask and use it.
From 8am to 10pm? Gosh, that's way too long. My mind would have wandered off somewhere after 1 hour.
I did a corporate dinner on Thursday in Dubai. So 10pm was really 2am Friday and I was in danger of falling asleep over my pudding. I absolutely, positively HATE being sociable for work purposes.
